Demonstration of pre-wedging with a Garrison FenderWedge, which can begin the process of separating teeth (important for the creation of good contact) and also protects the adjacent tooth.
Preparations for new DL #11 and MOD #12.
Restoration of DL #11.
Selective etch of enamel margins of #12.
Placement of two different sizes of sectional bands and two different sizes of wedges, followed by stacking of the 3DXR separating rings. Retention of separating rings on the distal of a cuspid can be challenging for other rings (which would tend to “pop off”) but the 3DXR ring eliminates that problem.
Crude incremental buildup of composite #12.
Buildup immediately after removal of matrices, demonstrating minimal flash.
After trimming and creation of anatomy.
After rubber dam is removed, final check of occlusion and polishing is accomplished.
Buccal view immediately post-op.
