Utilizing Direct Restorations to Close Posterior Open Contacts: Tools for Success - 9/17/24

We all encounter open proximal contacts in the posterior. These open contacts can cause fast & devastating failure to the teeth and supporting structures. Understanding what caused them, and ultimately how to resolve them, is a great tool to have as a general dentist. This course will explore the different causes of posterior open contacts & different solutions specific to the different causes. Ultimately, we will discuss the direct composite solution, focusing on preparation design, tools, & techniques to ensure effective, long-term restorative solutions to this pesky problem.

Your Instructor:

Dr. Matthew Burton, DDS has worked as an established dental practitioner in Illinois since 2008. Dr. Burton enjoys designing dental products to solve challenges posed by common procedures. He has his own dental materials company, Burton Dental Innovations, that he formed in 2017. Additionally, Dr. Burton works with other dental product manufacturers to bring exciting new inventions to clinicians worldwide.



Dr. Burton began teaching CE courses to dentists around the world in July 2020 and is enthusiastic to continue to continue to share what he has learned and how it has helped shape a high level of care in his office.
